Duct, dryer vent & chimney FAQs

What areas do you serve?
We serve Greater Sydney and Greater Melbourne. In Sydney that covers the City of Sydney and inner suburbs, Western Sydney, the Hills District, South West Sydney, the Northern Beaches and the Sutherland Shire. In Melbourne it covers the CBD and inner suburbs, the Eastern Suburbs, the South East, Bayside, the North and the West. See our service areas page for the full list of suburbs.
How often should you have your air ducts cleaned?
For most homes, we recommend professional air duct cleaning every three to five years - sooner if you have shedding pets, allergies or asthma, recent renovations, or notice musty odours or visible mould. Dryer vents should be cleaned at least once a year.
What is a safe schedule for dryer vent cleaning?
Once a year keeps most households safe and efficient. If your clothes take longer to dry, the dryer feels unusually hot, or you notice a burning smell, lint has likely built up and you should book service right away - a clogged dryer vent is a serious fire risk.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. During your free quote we walk you through our process, answer your questions, and give you a clear, upfront price with no hidden fees. There is no pressure and no obligation.
Are you insured?
Yes. Elite Air Duct Cleaning is an insured team. Every technician is background-checked, fully trained, and equipped with professional-grade tools, so the job is done right the first time.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Absolutely. Clean air ducts mean comfortable occupants, fresher air and a more efficient system for offices, cafés, retail spaces and multi-unit buildings - less downtime and fewer HVAC repairs for business owners.
Do older homes really need chimney cleaning?
Homes with an open fireplace or a wood heater do. Creosote builds up on the inside of the flue with every fire and is highly flammable, and older masonry chimneys can crack or leak. An annual sweep and inspection keeps the fireplace safe to use.
